Since 1958, Leonardo’s Produce has been synonymous with quality products and loyal service. Leo came to Detroit from Italy and began selling produce door-to-door. His reputation for honesty and dependability led to the opening of a handful of stores and a loyal client base that was, and still is, treated like family.

Now, over 60 years later, Leo’s son Sam owns and operates the 20-truck operation. He’s brought the business forward from its humble beginnings to a new state-of-the art 30,000 square foot facility to better serve our growing customer base. Currently one of the premier specialty produce vendors in the Detroit area, we carry on Leo’s commitment to providing fresh produce and goods, crafting fresh ideas, and fostering lifelong relationships.

HOW WE SERVE​

The right product at the right price is only part of the equation. Implementing and engineering our deliveries to reach you in a timely manner with that “just picked” quality is what we do. With a constantly growing customer base, we realized we needed room to grow. In 2018, we set up shop in a new 30,000 square foot refrigerated warehouse in northeast Detroit. With nine large indoor bays, deliveries are always kept fresh and constantly moving. Our fleet of refrigerated trucks ensure our products will arrive at your door in their best condition. We deliver six days a week in the Metro Detroit Area, and to a majority of the state and the surrounding Toledo, Ohio Area several days a week. We even offer Sunday deliveries to parts of southeast Michigan! Our drivers are also available to bring last minute items the same day (based on availability and time of day).
